Year-Long Volunteer Application Process
Thank you for your interest in year-long volunteer service at Christ House! Volunteering full-time in the Christ House community (40 hours per week) offers individuals the opportunity to serve those who are homeless and sick in Washington, DC and live in an intentional volunteer residential community at Emmanuel House, while gaining career experience or discerning vocation.
We begin accepting completed application packets for the 2012-2013 year on January 1, 2012. Only completed application packets will be considered for review.
If you would like to apply for the program, please submit the following information:
- A completed Christ House year-long application form, electronically signed and dated.
- Three completed reference forms, from the following individuals:
- An employer or supervisor
- A professor, advisor or counselor who understands your motivations for service
- A peer you have lived with

Applications for 2012-2013 year-long volunteer year will be accepted beginning January 1, 2012. All applications (including reference forms) must be submitted no later than Monday, March 5, 2012. Applications received after March 5th will be considered ONLY if positions remain available and incomplete applications will NOT be considered. All applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis as received.
