Full-time Volunteers Positions Case Management Assistant - Serve as the patients' first contact with the Social Services Department: help obtain appropriate entitlements for patients, and travel with clients to social service appointments at outside agencies. Community Builder - Plan and take part in cultural and educational activities with our patients: attend concerts, sporting events, plays, lectures, and simply spend time with the patients. Additional duties include supervising and helping the patients with different work projects and accompanying patients on trips to area hospitals. This position has been filled for the 2008-2009 program year. Generalist - Assist all departments at Christ House, filling special needs, such as working on seasonal projects and with members of the Kairos Program. Duties include, but are not limited to, accompanying patients on medical appointments, food preparation and service, light maintenance work, administrative, research and development work. Read about an accompaniment. This position has been filled for the 2008-2009 program year. Medical Unit Assistant - Be the first point of contact for our patients at the nurses' station. Responsibilities include transcribing physicians' orders, scheduling medical appointments, and ordering lab tests. This position is best suited for someone with an interest in the medical field and a desire to learn about clinic administration. This position has been filled for the 2008-2009 program year. Nursing Assistant - Serve as a nurse's aide: take vital signs, change dressings, and assist patients with daily activities. This position has been filled for the 2008-2009 program year. Staff Nurse - Become a part of our team of experienced nurses. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administration of medications, health monitoring and patient education. Both Registered Nurses and Graduate Nurses may apply. This position has been filled for the 2008-2009 program year.
