PLEASE NOTE: All positions have been filled for the 2009-2010 program year. We will begin accepting applications for the 2010-2011 program year in January of 2010.

The 2009-2010 program will begin August 3, 2009 and run for 51 weeks.

Christ House offers several opportunities for individuals who wish to serve as full-time residential volunteers (40 hours per week).  Volunteering full-time at Christ House offers individuals the opportunity to serve those who are homeless in Washington, DC and live in an intentional community while gaining career experience, preparing for graduate school, or discerning a new career path.

Yearlong volunteers work at Christ House for a full year. The volunteer year begins on the first Monday of August. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Short-term volunteers stay for a minimum of two months (some positions require a stay of 3 months), and serve according to their skills and our needs. The term of service begins at a mutually agreeable time.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Please contact our volunteer office prior to completing the application so that we can verify whether a short-term position will be available.
