Why don't you allow me to make a donation on your website?
Christ House uses Network for Good, a non-profit organization supported by America On-Line, to accept on-line donations.  Since Network for Good is a secure server, Christ House does not have to pay to have our website hosted on a secure server.

Yes.

Does Network for Good take a percentage of my donation to cover fees? Yes. While Network for Good takes no cut or commission for processing donations, a 4.75% fee is charged to nonprofits to defray the direct costs Network for Good incurs for processing donations. These "hard costs" include credit card fees, banking fees and check processing fees.  
To avoid having this 4.75% processing fee taken out of your donation, please call us at (202) 328-1100 and make your credit card gift over the phone.

Can I specify what I want my donation used for?
Yes, just fill in the 'Designation' field when you make your donation.

Can I make an anonymous donation?
Yes. While you will need to provide your address to Network for Good (for security purposes), you may ask them not to send it to us.

Is it safe to make on-line donations?
Yes.  Network for Good uses the same 128-bit encryption as all major web-based retailers.
