Who gives to Christ House?
Individuals and Organizations. Over 16,400 individuals, churches, foundations, businesses, and other groups have given money, goods, or volunteer service since our inception. Christ House would not be able to continue its mission without people from all around the country (and seven foreign countries) who provide their prayers and support.
Partners and Associate Partners. In addition to grants, it takes approximately $3,000 per day to provide medical care and case management services for all of the patients at Christ House. The Christ House Partner Program recognizes donors who give $3,000 or more in a year to fill this urgent need.
Christ House Associate Partners are recognized for gifts between $1,500 and $2,999 per year. Your generosity will be acknowledged with:
- Your choice of a Remembrance Day
- A certificate displayed at the entrance of Christ House
- A special letter describing Christ House events on the Remembrance Day you choose
Partners and Associates are also invited to visit Christ House on their day (or at any other time) to see our facility, meet patients and staff, and join us for a meal. Please call Mark DeWeese in our Development Office at (202) 328-1100 to schedule your visit.
Local and Federal Governments. Approximately one-third of the annual Christ House operating budget is underwritten by grants from the Federal government and the District of Columbia. The majority of these grants are administered by the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness and the District of Columbia Department of Health, HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis, STD and TB Administration.
