Meet Our Staff
Allen Goetcheus (President) is a co-founder of Christ House. He is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church, and has served as the President of Christ House since our inception.
Janelle Goetcheus (Medical Director) is a co-founder of Christ House. Dr. Goetcheus is also a founder of Columbia Road Health Services and Unity Health Services. She is the recipient of numerous regional and national awards that recognize her dedication to serving the health needs of the poor in Washington, DC. Dr. Goetcheus was named Doctor of the Year by the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1991, and was deemed a "Woman of Mercy" by the Sisters of Mercy in 1988. She was inducted into the District of Columbia Women's Hall of Fame in 1989, received the 1990 Good Samaritan Award from the National Catholic Development Conference, was recognized as the Public Citizen of the Year in 1993 by the National Association of Social Workers, and was named a Washingtonian of the Year in 1995 by Washingtonian Magazine. Also in '95, Janelle was recognized by her alma mater as the Distinguished Medical Alumni at the University of Indiana School of Medicine. Mary Jordan (Clinical Director) has full responsibility for clinical operations of the Medical Unit. Through a variety of management and supervisory activities, Mary ensures provision of quality patient care. Mary has served on the medical staff at Christ House since November 1986, shortly after our inception. Mary is a graduate of Catholic University in Washington, DC, and is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
Anne Feczko (Clinical Coordinator) is responsible for daily oversight of patient care; staff scheduling; and oversight concerning billing, supplies, and the medical record. Anne also oversees the development and implementation of a patient education program. Additionally, she ensures operational and support functions are carried out to promote quality patient care. Anne is a Registered Nurse and a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.
Bill Hepler (Case Manager) works to ensure that patients obtain insurance, government entitlements, mental health support, substance abuse recovery treatment, housing placement assistance, and other supportive services designed to bring an end to their homelessness. Bill is a graduate of Virginia Tech and previously worked as an outreach worker, offering case management support to people living in the streets of DC.
Rick Thomas (Case Manager) works to ensure that patients obtain insurance, government entitlements, mental health support, substance abuse recovery treatment, housing placement assistance, and other supportive services designed to bring an end to their homelessness. Rick has a JD/MA from Syracuse University and an LLM from Columbia University. He volunteered for 9 years for our case management office before coming on staff and previously worked for 20 years as an attorney for the Federal government.
Eric Bebber (Kairos House Manager) coordinates permanent housing and supportive services that are offered through Kairos House, Christ House’s long-term housing community. He holds an MDiv from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology and was ordained by Peachtree Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. To email Eric, click here.
Larry Watson (Addictions Counselor) facilitates the 12-week New Day Treatment Program that provides intensive alcohol and drug treatment services to Christ House patients. Larry also provides one-on-one addiction counseling services to Christ House patients and Kairos House residents.
David Inoue (Administrative Director) coordinates day-to-day administrative activities at Christ House, including food services, transportation, maintenance, and other support activities. David holds an MPH/MHA degree from The Ohio State University. To email David, click here.

Steve Wallin (Accountant) has coordinated the financial service needs of Christ House since January 1986, making him one of our longest tenured staff members. Steve earned a JD degree from George Washington University.
Lizzie Bebber (Director of Volunteers) recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers for all of the departments at Christ House. Lizzie holds the MDiv degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. She was ordained by Calvary Baptist Church in Waco, TX, and is a member of the American Baptist Conference. To email Lizzie, click here.
