Director of Development
Christ House is seeking an individual to oversee development activities for the organization. Current fund raising draws upon individual donors, government contracts, foundations and churches.
The director of development will ensure proper communication with supporters including timely thank you letters, progress reports to granting organizations and other correspondence including a quarterly newsletter and appeal letters. Self-starting individual needed to initiate and develop new funding opportunities while maintaining existing relationships and programs. This position is assisted by and supervises a development associate who assists in managing the donor database and preparing correspondence.
Must have bachelors degree, with an advanced degree or certifications in related field preferred. Successful candidates will have excellent writing skills and previous experience in development including successful grant application and administration. Some health care background or knowledge will be given preference. Familiarity with Donor Perfect also preferred.
