It includes individuals and those counted as members of families. The DC metropolitan area included in this number is: Washington, DC—5,717, Montgomery County, MD—1,139, Prince George’s County, MD—1,168, Alexandria, VA—375 Arlington County, VA--462 and Fairfax County/City & Falls Church—1,813. If only homeless individuals were to be counted the total number is 6,448.
